Code of Ethics

Developing moral values is a process that need to start from the childhood. The College recognizes it’s role and responsibility in accompanying the students to become balanced personalities to the nation. In achieving this goal, the College promotes following moral and ethical values as the very basic and essential that need to be inculcated.

Accountability

The educators of the College always strive to make the young minds to be accountable and understand the relationship between action and consequence so that they are better suited to face life's challenges with a positive attitude. The students are highly encouraged to play an active role in clubs and societies so that they get an opportunity to gain hands on experience that will foster personal accountability in the learning environment. Under the guidance of the teachers, students better understand what accountable behavior is and follow good practices.

Punctuality

Better three hours too soon than a minute too late.” William Shakespeare. The college will take every possible measure to implant the seeds of punctuality in students, right from the start of their educational life at De Mazenod College since punctuality is a fundamental life skill that continues beyond the classroom. Students are always encouraged to be punctual so that they can better cope with meeting deadlines, managing workload and staying away from academic stress. It is an essential trait that acts as a stepping stone for long-term success that cultivates professionalism in students.

Discipline

School discipline is the umbrella term that covers all of the strategies, procedures, policies and actions that manages the behavior of students in school. The college has shifted the focus from the traditional rule based punishment oriented discipline implementation to a more fruitful attitude changing approach through strengthening positive relationship with teachers, parents and fellow students. This is the very reason why the College has employed a fulltime qualified experienced Student Counsellor to provide professional expertise In challenging situations.
